Fox to Fill Disney's Shoes to Produce Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Not surprisingly, Fox has stepped in to replace Disney as the development studio producing The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Fox already had a relationship with Walden Media with the Fox Walden marketing and distribution label, so it makes perfect sense that Fox would work with Walden Media. The 2 companies are targeting a Christmas 2010 release date, with filming to commence this summer.
Another not unexpected change is the budget for the film. Dawn Treader will have a budget of $140 million--a $75 million drop from the budget of Prince Caspian.
Apparently, the final hurdle is finalizing a script... but clearly, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader will now be made!
