Disney Bows Out of Voyage of the Dawn Treader

It seems the worst fears based on Prince Caspian's box office performance have come true--Disney will not co-produce or co-finance The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. For "budgetary" and "logistical" reasons, Disney will not exercise its option for the third Narnia movie.
Walden Media will continue to shop the next film to studio suitors, with a likely candidate being Fox--considering that Fox and Walden already have an established relationship.
The film was scheduled to film this coming spring. The script is done, the director named, and the stars already set to go... so the film can definitely still happen, but there is a certain shadow cast on the Narnia series future.
