Caspian's Box Office Performance Casts Shadows on Dawn Treader

Prince Caspian's less than stellar box office performance (domestically, it pulled in only 1/2 of what The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe did), has put a bit of a damper on The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

Jim Hill Media is reporting that Disney still hasn't actually green-lit production of the new filme--despite having already cast the new characters, and lining up 4 months of shooting at Baja Studios in Rosarito Beach. Seems that the biggest sticking point is the production budget.  Disney is pushing for a $100 million budget, $40 million less than the original budget.

Lastly, it looks like once Dawn Treaderfinally starts being shot, it won't hit theaters until 2011.
